wissenschaftlichen Kenntnisstand mittelalterlicher Medizin.
| de |

dc.description.abstracteng | The doctoral thesis deals with the
breakdown of language and content of three medical recipe
collections from the late Middle Ages. Content of the recipes are
exclusively the production and the medical use of medicinal oils.
At the beginning is the edition of the early High German texts. It
follows an insight into the production process of oil in the Middle
Ages. A comprehensive review of all three codes (Farfa, Harburg and
Memmingen) provides a classification in our scientific knowledge of
medieval medicine. The largest section of the thesis is the
analysis of the drug following single oils. The comparison related
to recipes with ingredients available here in the foreground. In
conclusion follows an attempt to prove whether a use of drugs based
on the recipes in the same or modified form is still existent.
Current phytotherapy directories and pharmacy books serve as
reference sources at this point. | de |
