Abstract
English
The major goals of this thesis were to synthesise and crystallise novel unsubstituted picolyl metal adducts for structural analyses. Their investigation as well as other lithium organic compounds by experimental charge density methods should provide detailed information on their bonding situations. Knowledge of the solid state structure of lithium organic compounds is essential for understanding their reactivity. Nowadays, the method of choice to determine the molecular structure of lithium organic compounds is the cryo-X-ray crystallography. Even more detailed information can be obtained from experimental charge density studies in order to investigate the nature of chemical bonding in lithium organic compounds. Applying these methods, the preparative work in the field of unsubstituted 2-/4-picolyllithium compounds extends a series of lead structural motifs in these benzyl type anions, while several experimental electron density studies elucidate the bonding situations in unconventionally bonded lithium organic compounds.
