Ziel dieser Arbeit ist, das größtenteils auf Französisch geschriebene erzählerische Werk des argentinischen Schriftstellers Copi (1939-1987) aus erzähltheoretischer Perspektive zu analysieren. Dabei werden die Verfahren der so genannten paradoxalen Erzählung betrachtet, deren Funktion die Transgression der narrativen Konventionen und somit das Schaffen von innovativen Kurzgeschichten und Romanen, aber auch Comics, ist. Die Präsenz von Elementen aus dem Camp und das Groteske aus dem Río de la Plata im erzählerischen Werk Copis werden ebenso untersucht wie die Irruption seiner Poetik in der argentinischen Literatur seiner Zeit und die Übernahme einiger ihrer Elementen durch drei argentinischen Schriftsteller der Gegenwart: César Aira, Alberto Laiseca und Washington Cucurto.
