| de |

dc.description.abstracteng | This thesis describes the syntheses and characterization by X-ray diffraction analyses of molybdenum- and tungsten-complexes with bulky pyrazolate ligands. Appropriate substituents in the organic ligands (tert-butyl in 3,5-positions) led predominately to the unusual endobidentate (eta2) coordination mode. The goal of research was a better understanding of the binding mode in eta2-pyrazolate complexes with emphasis on the influence of d-electrons on the eta2 bonding. In addition, cis-MO2-compounds (M = Mo, W) were synthesized and tested as possible biomimetic models of mononuclear molybdoenzymes.Reaction of Mo(NMe2)4 with t-Bu2PzH afforded Mo(t-Bu2Pz)3(NMe2). Salt metathesis of MoCl2(THF)4 with t-Bu2PzK yielded the homoleptic species Mo(t-Bu2Pz)4. Both compounds represent rare examples of eta2-pyrazolate-complexes with d2-electron configuration at the metal centre. They demonstrate that the endobidentate bonding exhibit not only pure ionic character, but that the d-electron configuration of the metal has significant influence on the coordination geometry. By reaction of Mo(NMe2)4 with Me2PzH, the compound Mo(Me2PzH)(Me2Pz)3(eta2-CH2NHMe) could be isolated, where C-H bond activation in one of the NMe2 ligands took place. This pointed out, that the steric demand in the 3,5-positions of the ligands is essential for the formation of homoleptic species. This conclusion was supported by DFT calculations on a model compound with focus on the change of eta2- versus eta1-coordination.The second part of this thesis is faced against the background of molybdoenzymes, which catalyse oxygen-transfer-reactions. By reaction of cis-MO2Cl2 (M = Mo, W) with potassium pyrazolate ligands, compounds of the type cis-MO2(eta2-t-Bu2Pz)nCln-1 (n = 1, 2; M = Mo, W) were obtained. These compounds are suitable catalysts for the transfer of an oxygen atom from dimethylsulfoxide to triphenylphosphane. Kinetic studies show a pseudo-1.-order rate law in dependence of the phosphane concentration. Answers to mechanistic questions provided the isolation of MoO(eta2-t-Bu2Pz)(eta1-t-Bu2Pz)(PR3)2 (R = Me, Et), that represent possible intermediates in the catalytic reactions. | de |
