| de |

dc.description.abstracteng | The objective of this dissertation is a comparative study of the chiroptical properties of 1,2-spiroannulated helical hydrocarbons of three-, four- and five- membered rings. Towards this aim, each cyclobutane ring in 7 was successively replaced by a cyclopentane ring. This facilitated the verification of whether the observed decrease of the specific rotation from 6 to 7 continues along the sequence (R)-13 (S)-14 (R)-15 (P)-8 in a systematic manner.Enantiomerically pure pseudo-P-helical trispiranes (R)-13, (S)-14 and (R)-15 and helical trispirane (P)-8 were prepared and their specific rotations were measured at different wavelengths. The result shows a decrease of the specific rotation for (R)-13 to (S)-14. With a change of sign, the specific rotation increases from (R)-15 to (P)-8. Consequently, (P)-8 is the only right-handed, levorotatory helix within the series (P)-6, (P)-7 and (P)-8. Due to the conformational flexibility of trispiranes of four- and five- membered rings, this phenomenon can only be explained by ab-initio calculations for all Boltzmann-relevant conformations. | de |
