Abstract

English

This thesis is concerned with the silicon chemistry of hydrazine (H2N-NH2) and hydrazone (H2N-N=CR2). Mono-, bis-, tris-, tetrakis(silyl)hydrazines and bis(hydrazino)silanes as well as various silylhydrazones and 1,2-diaza-3-silacyclopropenes were isolated, characterized (using NMR and mass spectroscopy) and partly structurally determined using x-ray chrystallography. New silylhydrzids could be synthesized and molecular structures for these compounds elucidated. It was possible to determine the first silicon insertion in the N-N-bond both experimentally and quantum chemically through different examples. Neutral silatropy - up to this time unknown in the chemistry of hydrzine - was observed.

Other Languages
