Comparison of monopolar (80 Patients) versus bipolar (100 Patients) radical retropubic Prostatectomy. Complications and Morbidity. A statistically significant differences were found in less blood loss during surgery by bipolar surgery, in the lower operative time by bipolar surgery and in higher three-month continence rate by bipolar surgery.

Es wurden zwei Operationsmethoden bei der radikalen retropubischen Prostatektomie verglichen - eine monopolare (80 Patienten) mit einer bipolaren (100 Patienten); hinsichtlich Komplikationsrate und perioperativer Morbidität.Die Datenanalyse zeigt für die bipolare Präparationstechnik eine statistisch hoch-signifikant verkürzte Operationsdauer, eine statistisch signifikant reduzierte operative Blutung und statistisch signifikant bessere Frühkontinenz.
