Abstract

English

This doctoral thesis gives an outline of the historical development of the abortion ban and the debate about the moral status of human embryos. The presentation of the results of the questionnaire survey is followed by the discussion on the assessments and opinions of the pregnancy counsellors regarding moral questions on the interruption of pregnancies and the understanding of their personal role during the consultation.
