Abstract

English

A great variability of remyelinisation is frequently found in demyelinated plaques of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). Regarding this variability recent studies have found a correlation between the Histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1)-expression and the level of remyelinisation in mice. In this study we concentrated on the question whether this coherence also could be seen in patients with MS. Beforehand, we developed a classification for stages of remyelinating lesions by means of differential expression of various myelin proteins in oligodendrocytes. It showed that 2
