The central complex is a major control neuropile for the situation specific selection of sound pattern of grasshoppers. The current thesis tries to investigate the role of different neurotransmitter systems in this brain region on the control of sound production. For this histological and pharmacological approaches were used.

Der Zentralkomplex ist eines der Hauptkontrollneuropile für die Situationsabhängigge Auswahl von Gesangsmustern bei Grashüpfern. Die vorliegende Arbeit versucht die Rolle von unterschiedlichen Transmittersystemen bei der Kontrolle von Gesangsverhalten in dieser Hirnregion zu untersuchen. Für dieses Ziel würden Histologische und Pharmkalogische Verfahren eingesetzt.
