Abstract

English

The goal of this work is to research into the ways in which certain ancient Egyptian words from the IIth century B.C. , which correspond to the actual lexical usage of the word "heart", were used during that period of time in Egypt. The sources of this study base on a corpus of aprox. 40 literary texts dating from the time of the Middle Kingdom (ca 2000-1800 B.C.) and the beginning of the 3rd Intermediary Period (ca 1700 B.C.). Research was done into the way in which the lexem "heart" and its content was used in the afro-asiatic as well as in some indo-european languages. Theories and concepts about metaphors and emotions were also taken into consideration in this context. The philologically oriented main chapter shows the uses and collocations of the words designating "heart", according to three genres: sapiential texts, love songs and tellings. The references mentioned above were inter-linearly transliterated and accompanied by grammatical analysis, are introduced by the further systematical preparations about the topic in question. The semantic of the expressions was classified according to their field of research/interest, on two main criteria: their meaning as well as their usage in metaphors and in the expression of emotions.

Das Ziel der Arbeit besteht darin, zu untersuchen, auf welche Weise in der ägyptischen Sprache des zweiten vorchristlichen Jahrtausends diejenigen Wörter verwendet werden, als deren Hauptentsprechung unsere lexikalischen Nachschlagewerke "Herz" angeben. Als Erhebungsgrundlage ist ein Korpus von etwa vierzig literarischen Texten aus der Epoche vom Mittleren Reich (um 2000-1800 v. Chr.) bis zum Beginn der Dritten Zwischenzeit (um 1070 v. Chr.) vollständig ausgewertet worden. Es wurde die Betrachtung der entsprechenden Lexeme und ihrer Inhalte in einigen indoeuropäischen und afrosiatische Sprachen verglichen. Theorien und Konzepte zu Metaphern und Emotionen wurden auch behandelt. Die philologisch ausgerichteten Hauptkapitel behandeln die Verwendungsweise und Kollokationen der Wörter für "Herz" in drei Gattungen: Weisheitstexte, Liebeslieder und Erzählungen. Den Belegen, die umschrieben, interlinear mit grammatischen Analysen versehen und übersetzt sind, gehen jeweils kürzere systematische Vorbereitungen voraus. In ihnen wird die Semantik der Ausdrücke im Sinne des Darstellungsinteresses klassifiziert, nach ihren Bedeutungsfeldern und nach ihrer Verwendung in Metaphern und für Gefühlsausdrücke.
