Abstract

English

Speaking is an extremely complex cognitive task. Therefore it is not surprising that errors occur during the process of speech production. One of the most intriguing problems is the socalled Tip-of-the-Tongue phenomenon, which shows that people can have knowledge of a certain word and still be incapable of retrieving or activating it. For the present thesis people were led systematically into Tip-of-the-Tonge states in order to find out what kind of information about the missing word they had and what kind of given information helped them to activate it completely, if they couldn't activate it by their own.
