Research on advice giving and taking in the judge-advisor system (JAS) has focused on judges' attitudes and behavior. Advisors have not received much attention. Therefore, little is known about whether and how advisors' expectations and perceptions of the interaction with a judge influence decision making in the JAS. The present work tested the assumption that advice neglect can cause negative reactions from advisors which harm their ongoing as well as the future cooperation with a judge.
