Abstract
English
A series of pyrazolate based ligands with 3,5-substituted side arms on the heterocycle have been established as valuable synthons for the preparation of highly compartmentalized bi- and oligonuclear metal complexes. Homo- and heterobimetallic late transition complexes with ligands that possess appended imine donor sidearms and two adjacent binding compartments akin to the α-diimine type ligands have been synthesized and fully characterized. Possible cooperative interactions between the metal centers in some selected organometallic transformation reactions have also been investigated.
