Abstract

English

Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase II delta plays an important role in heart failure as activity and expression of the kinase are higher in myocytes of failing hearts. In this dissertation transverse aortic constriction led to cardiac hypertrophy and increase of l-type ca2+-current in murine myocytes. Inhibition of ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase II delta using autocamtide-2-related inhibitory peptide and genetic knockout normalized l-type ca2+-current.
Keywords: ca2+/calmodulin-dependent kinase II delta
