Abstract
English
This thesis work deals with the reactivity studies of a pyrazole-based dinuclear nickel(II) dihydride complex towards small molecules, in particular nitric oxide and nitrosobenzene. The obtained products were characterized with a suite of analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, UV-vis spectroscopies, mass spectrometry and cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemistry. Furthermore, information regarding the electronic structures of the resulting compounds were obtained by theorethical calculations. In the last part of this work, the synthesis of pyrazole-based dinuclear iron(II) compounds was also described and their reactivity towards different molecules was investigated.
Keywords: nickel dihydride; nitric oxide; nitrosobenzene; iron complexes; pyrazole-based compounds
