Abstract
English
In this thesis, SNARE analogues with artificial recognition units made of either coiled-coil sequences or peptide nucleic acid (PNA) oligomers were synthesized. By applying FRET-based liposome fusion assays, the fusogenic character of SNARE analogues were investigated. The extent of liposome fusion were controllable by the type of the recognition units. Therefore, structural changes of these specific recognition units were applied in order to obtain a detailed insight of the liposome fusion process.
