In this thesis, several aspects of the tumor metabolism were examined as an approach for antiproliferative therapies. Thereby, it is shown that therapy with metformin and 2-Deoxy-D-Glucose reaches a significant decrease of proliferation in endometrial cancer. This effect increases if metformin and 2-Deoxy-D-Glucose are combined. In addition, it is shown that GnRH analogues may influence the expression of Glucose transporter in endometrial cancer.

Diese Arbeit untersucht einige Punkte des Tumorstoffwechsel als Ansatz für antiproliferative Therapien. Hierbei wird aufgezeigt, dass durch die Therapie mit Metformin und 2-Deoxy-D-Glukose die Zellproliferation im Endometriumkarzinom signifikant reduziert werden kann. Die Kombination beider Wirkstoffe verstärkt dabei den Effekt zusätzlich. Zudem wird aufgezeigt, dass die Expression von Glukosetransportern in Endometriumkarzinomzellen durch GnRH-Analoga beeinflusst werden kann.
