Abstract

English

The coordination chemistry of late-transition-metal dinitrogen complexes remains a topic of considerable interest. In this study, a pyrazolate-based dinucleating nacnac ligand was employed to construct a series of bimetallic cobalt complexes, including species incorporating dinitrogen moieties and other nitrogenous substrates. The cobalt coordination chemistry of the pyrazolate-derived bis(β-diketiminate) ligand was chosen, leading to the isolation and characterization of several novel dicobalt species. Upon treatment with reducing reagents, well-defined dicobalt–dinitrogen complexes were synthesized and comprehensively characterized using spectroscopic methods. Their chemical reactivity was preliminarily explored, including the synthesis and characterization of dicobalt diazene complexes in two distinct formal oxidation states. Additionally, the interconversion between dicobalt diazene and dicobalt dinitrogen species was investigated, providing insights into their electronic structures and potential reactivity.
