Abstract
English
New dibenzothiophenium-based alkynylation reagents were prepared and their versatile reactivity was demonstrated in reactions with benchmark C-, S-, N- and P-nucleophiles. Straightforward experiments applying 13C-labeled reagents were proceeded to give a first insight in the reaction mechanism of the transfer reaction. Furthermore, the reagents were directly compared with their commercially available EBX analogues highlighting them as powerful and safe alternative to hypervalent iodine reagents.
