Cytomegalovirus (CMV) gastroenteritis is a serious complication of immunosuppression in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (STX). CMV gastroenteritis can be associated with increased morbidity and mortality and requires special attention relating to diagnosis and treatment

Die Cytomegalievirus-(CMV)-Gastroenteritis stellt eine schwerwiegende Komplikation der Immunsuppression bei Patienten mit chronisch-entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen (CED) sowie nach allogener Stammzelltransplantation (STX) dar. Die CMV-Gastroenteritis kann mit einer erhöhten Morbidität und Mortalität vergesellschaftet sein und bedarf besonderer Aufmerksamkeit in Bezug auf Diagnostik und Behandlung
