Abstract
English
The regulator of the cellular stress response programm HSF1 is regulated by the tumor suppressor p53 by inhibition of the phosphorylation of Ser326. This reduces HSF1 transcriptional activity and halts the stress response in human colorectal tumor cells. This is mediated by p53-dependant expression of p21 which inhibits Cyclin-dependant kinases.
