This organisational history of the Catholic youth organisations in the diocese of Paderborn focusses on the years directly following World War II. In particular the descisions are examined which led to the creation of the "Bund der Deutschen Katholischen Jugend - BDKJ" and the conflicts that occured between (diocesan) church officials, national and diocesan activists in catholic youth work, regional and national youth representatives, and also individual, autonomous activists.
