Abstract

English

The results of this study provide an insight into reorganization processes of nerve cell groups within the central nervous system (cortex) after peripheral Fazialisaxotomie in the rat. In particular, the immunohistochemical results of the work allow a broader understanding of the dynamic interplay of synapses, synaptic adhesion and astroglia during such reorganization events.
Keywords: facial nerve axotomy; Nervus facialis; rat; glia; neuroplasticity; synaptic adhesion; neuronal reorganizsation

Other Languages
