Abstract
English
In this thesis, the optical intersite spin transfer in ferromagnetic FeNi alloys is studied on the femtosecond timescale. Extreme ultraviolet transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect spectroscopy (EUV T-MOKE) is used to characterize the spin transfer and its strength for different relative compositions of the alloy. In addition, our new method to extract the transient dielectric tensor is employed and disentangles the magnetic and optical contributions to the magneto-optical signal. This analysis turns out to be particularly critical for the interpretation of spin dynamics during the optically-induced non-equilibrium state.
