| de |

dc.description.abstracteng | The final step in hepatitis b virus formation is the
envelopment of the pre-assembled nucleocapsid at the
membrane of the endoplasmatic reticulum which contains
the viral surface proteins. It is already shown that
amino acids within the range of 98 to 124 of the large
envelope- protein are essential for the envelopment. In
the present dissertation the phenotypical
characterization of deleted constructs from the large
envelope-protein shall reveal the influence on virus
formation of the so far not well investigated domain
between amino acids 170 to 253 of the large
envelope-protein which is arranged to the cytosolic
side of the endoplasmatic reticulum. | de |
