Zusammenfassung

Englisch

Vietnam is one of the countries in the world impacted severely by climate change. The change of climatic factors will affect land use activities. The prediction of the natural disasters, for example: floods, droughts and landslides, needs to be integrated into Land Use Planning (LUP) to diminish their damages. Specifically, the key objective of the research is to improve quality of Land Use Planning by the integration of landslide susceptibility. Based the environmental economic point of view, cost benefit analysis was used to evaluate the efficiency of the integration of landslide susceptibility into LUP in Maichau District. In addition, a simple comparison, AHP and GIS were all used to conduct the research. First of all, LUP and socio-economic development in Maichau District had close correlation. Indeed, the changes of some land use types in LUP 2000 affected positively the socio-economic development in that period. Moreover, based on five criteria: slope, soil types, soil texture, soil depth and vegetation cover, landslide susceptibility was determined with three categories, including: high, moderate and low susceptibility. By the integration of landslide susceptibility into LUP 2000, roughly 6.3%, 90.7% and 3% area of the district were assessed as lowly, moderately and highly suitable for some land use types, respectively. Furthermore, simplified cost benefit analysis of the integration indicates that the cost of changing the LUP 2000 would have been quite large, and particularly the net benefit was actually negative. Based on the research findings, the discussion will be expressed that optimizing the cut off point between three categories of landside susceptibility and suitability rating between LUP and landslide susceptibility are two key factors may lead to the decrease of unsuitable extension of settlements and unsuitable agricultural area. Thus, the cost of integration will reduce that enables better LUP. However, a slightly negative net benefit may be accepted by planners, authorities as an avoided co st of landslide integration.
